Her handmade teaware is part of every living room at Maana, crafted from clay she gathers in the mountains surrounding her neighborhood in Kyoto.

More than an artist we admire, Masako-san is a dear friend of Maana. We treasure our relationship with her and feel fortunate to present a broad selection of her pieces at Maana Living, from tableware to everyday objects.

About Maana Living

Maana Living is a collection of art, antiques, and everyday objects we love. With its flagship store at Maana Kiyomizu in Kyoto's Higashiyama district and a boutique corner at Maana Atelier in Kuramaguchi, Maana Living brings together objects that reflect a thoughtful way of living.

Inspired by the lifestyles of artisans across Japan, we celebrate pieces shaped by nature, time, and human hands. Each piece carries a story, inviting warmth, presence, and meaning into everyday life. Our collection evolves with the seasons, guided by the makers and materials that continue to inspire us.

In 2026, Maana was named one of TIME's World's Greatest Places.
