For the first time in Kyoto, indigo artists Yusuke Miura (三浦優佑) and Takuma Shimada (嶋田拓真) of SLOW FABRIC will exhibit their work at Maana Atelier. Grounded in the concept of 居場所 Ibasho (a place to belong), we hope that the passage of time etched into the fabric will act as a clue to reflect on our connections with others, and deepen self-exploration.

この度、京都では初となる展示をMaana Atelier にて開催します。期間中には、絞り染めのワークショップを実施。自分だけの東袋を制作しながら、藍染の魅力を体験できます。

SLOW FABRIC is an indigo dye studio based in Shiga. Exploring new expression through learning shibori techniques, they create works that hold the traces of time and touch on fabric.
